1. RADIOLOGIST ACCESS LINE - 24/7/365 @ 770-219-5431
During weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, this line will be staffed by the radiologist access team, who will direct your call to the on-call radiologist or sub-specialty radiologist who can best address your questions. Calling that number outside the time window will connect you directly to the "on-call radiologist" cell phone.
2. ON-CALL RADIOLOGISTS:
We introduced two new designated slots in our schedule, one for diagnostic radiology and another for interventional radiology, denoted as below in the Qgenda online schedule.
“on-call radiologist”
“on call interventional radiologist.”
A. On-Call Radiologist:
Can be reached at 770-219-5431 -.
If you cannot reach on-call radiologist, please call the hospital operator or Gainesville hospital radiology supervisor at 770-219-5182 or any of the radiology supervisors or house supervisors at any of our four hospitals, who all have access to the Qgenda Schedule. Hospitalist teams can directly call 770-219-2627 for on-call radiologist information who also have access to Qgenda. If you believe you will benefit from having personal access to Qgenda, please email radqa@grg.info, and you will be sent instructions on how to access the schedule.
B. On-Call Interventional Radiologist:
During weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, please call 770-219-5431 and specify which hospital IR physician you need to talk with. If you have general interventional radiology questions, please ask for on-call interventional radiologist.
Outside the time window specified above, call the Hospital Operator, and ask for "On-Call Interventional Radiologist."
NOTE: All radiologists perform paracentesis, thoracentesis, and lumbar punctures. Please contact the "on-call radiologist" for these procedures at 770-219-5431 outside the time frame mentioned above.
3. RADIOLOGY QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A. For Non-Emergent cases*:
I. *Non-emergent cases are corrections or clarifications that can wait for 24 hours or next weekday without any material effect on patient care.
For typographical errors on the report, please text the accession number to 916-601-8073 with the word ‘Typos’ or email the same information to radqa@nghs.com.
If your concern is not addressed within 24 hours or by the following weekday, please call 770-219-5431. If your issue is still not resolved by the end of the day, please call 24/7/365 to talk to our newly created designated radiologist- GRG Vice President for Quality Assurance, Dr. Ravi, on his mobile phone – 916-601-8073.
II. For Unclear Findings/Missed Findings or any other non-emergent questions/concerns:
Please email the information with the accession number of the exam and your question or concern to rdaqa@grgpc.info If you wish to be contacted by the radiologist to discuss your concern, please kindly include either your mobile number or office number. Please include the ideal time window for the radiologist to call you back if you provide your office number. If your concern is not addressed within 24 hours or by the following weekday, please call 770-219-5431. If your issue is still not resolved by the end of the day, please call 24/7/365 to talk to our newly created designated radiologist- GRG Vice President for Quality Assurance, Dr. Ravi, on his mobile phone - 9166018073.
B. FOR ANY RADIOLOGY ISSUES THAT DO NOT MEET THE NON-EMERGENT CASE DEFINITION AS DEFINED ABOVE- PLEASE CALL AN "ON-CALL RADIOLOGIST" 24/7/365.
Please do not hesitate to contact the on-call Radiologist even if your concern involves a non-emergent case. The option to email or text is provided only to simplify your access to radiologists.
